Child health is a broad and applied discipline concerned with children’s well-being from birth into adolescence. It looks at health not only as the absence of illness, but as a combination of development, protection, relationships, learning, safety, and access to care.
Child health combines clinical, social, psychological, and public health approaches. The boundaries between these areas often overlap in practice, especially where children’s needs involve families, schools, and health systems at the same time.
