Perhaps the fear of flying cockroaches is not fear but rather jealousy. That a cockroach can fly in addition to being super strong and super fast and thus defeating humans on three levels can be hard. So this is not about bravery that disappears, but pride that is tamed.

Thanks for your input, and for me new insights. The main question is, have your ever been somewhere with flying cockroaches? Kind of scary.... They say only the german cockroach can fly, not all kinds can fly. That I dont know if it is true.
