Tsomo's karma by Kunzang Choden

Tsomo's karma is a special book. It is translated from english to dutch. It is the first book of a woman named Kunzang Choden from Bhutan, who has written a book in english. With her work she has taken a special role to give stories of Bhutan a broader audience, otherwise the stories might have been lost. She inspired many others from other regions in Bhutan to do the same. As a reader you are given more insight and understanding of the background of people from Bhutan. Other than the well known fact that people from Bhutan are the most happy in the world. Although Tsomo is far from happy, she is not afraid to make decisions and to follow (un)convential paths. We follow her through her life and all kind of stages in her life. The sometimes heavy topics are written in a light way, and you get to know Tsomo throughout the book better. She grows as a person, in a non ordinary way, from a western point of view, or any actually.
