Aviva is an organization that offers volunteer work and tours in South Africa. The volunteer projects focus primarily on animal and nature conservation, and social work. Aviva also offers various trips, tours, and courses.

Aviva projects have been discontinued under the Aviva name since 2021. However, the volunteer projects can be booked through Via Volunteers.

Products & Services CV

Vrijwilligerswerk

  • Aviva heeft een breed aanbod aan vrijwilligersprojecten waar je je handen uit je mouwen kan steken.
  • Projectmogelijkheden variëren van 2 weken tot 3 maanden.
  • Je kan bijvoorbeeld meewerken binnen een project dat zich richt op het behoud van de pinguïns op Robbeneiland. Of werk mee in een surfschool en geef surfles aan jonge kinderen. Je kunt ook meewerken met het in kaart brengen van wilde dieren op de Afrikaanse savanne. Hierbij doe je onderzoek naar onder andere: wilde honden, cheeta's, olifanten, leeuwen, neushoorns en buffels. 
  • Er zijn ook diverse mogelijkheden binnen sociale projecten, zoals meewerken in een weeshuis of lesgeven op een lokale school.

Begeleiding

  • Als vrijwilliger kan je gehaald en gebracht worden naar het vliegveld. Ook vindt er een introductie plaats over het project.
  • Accommodatie en maaltijden zijn (meestal) inbegrepen bij de projectkosten.
  • Verder is er een lokaal team ter plaatse waar je terecht kunt voor advies en (nood)hulp.

Tours en cursussen

  • Naast vrijwilligerswerk kun je ook deelnemen aan verschillende trips, tours en cursussen bij deze organisatie.
  • Neem bijvoorbeeld een duikcursus tijdens je vrijwilligerswerk in Zuid-Afrika om zo je padi (open water) te behalen, neem surflessen of ga op een mooie safari trip.
