IPBio

IPBio is a Biodiversity Research institute in Brazil.

Studying the Atlantic Forest

  • IPBio focusses on studying and monitoring biodiversity. The organization has its head-quarters in Sao Paolo, along with two units: the Betary Reserve and Jutuarana Reserve.
  • The Betary Reserve is located in the Vale do Robeira region, which holds the largest Atlantic Forest remaining in Brazil. The team working in the reserve monitors the habits and behaviours of living beings in the region, which resulted in a large collection of pictures and videos. This research is being carried out with the purpose of conserving the environment.
  • All content that IPBio collects is meant for research and teaching purposes.

Hospitality

  • Guests are welcome in the Betary Reserve, for different kinds of visits.
  • There are two open trails for visitors to explore for visitors, as well as two restricted trails meant for researchers.
