- Palau, also called Belau, is an island republic consisting of numerous (volcanic and limestone) islands in the North Pacific, 800 km west of the Philippines. The islands are surrounded by beautiful turquoise sea and lagoons, where you can endlessly marvel at the underwater world. This country is therefore not for nothing a perfect diving and snorkeling destination.
