I was walking on the street. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a middle aged man looking at me. "Ní hǎo" he said. "Ní hǎo" I answerd. Some minutes and gestures later I understood he wanted to send me a postcard and he needed my address. Bizarre. Well, why not I thought if this would make him happy. In the worst case scenario he takes a flight to The Netherlands and ask my parents to eat noodles with him. One month later I received a whatsapp from my father in the Netherlands: ehh Wanda, we have a letter for you from a Chinese admirer... So, no noodles for my parents but as promised a letter (plus a photo of himself!).
