The School of Life werd in 2008 opgericht door de filosoof Alain de Botton en heeft tegenwoordig vestigingen in allerlei landen over de hele wereld. De vestiging in Amsterdam verzorgt lezingen, cursussen en workshops op het gebied van levensvragen - van 'hoe vind ik werk dat bij me past' tot 'hoe vind je liefde'.
