Sociale projecten

Caras Alegres is actief in arme wijken waar het merendeel van de bevolking onder de armoedegrens leeft.
Door middel van verschillende sociale projecten probeert de organisatie kinderen uit de wijk en hun families te ondersteunen. Onder andere door een naschools programma, voedselpaketten uit te delen en studiebeurzen beschikbaar te stellen.
Naast de lokale staff worden de projecten ook draaiende gehouden door vrijwilligers, die het hele jaar door op meerdere manieren meehelpen aan de projecten.
Ook is het mogelijk de organisatie te steunen door een donatie te maken.

Volunteering

Er zijn verschillende mogelijkheden om bij Caras Alegres vrijwilligerswerk te doen. Vrijwilligers dienen minimaal 18 jaar oud te zijn en een basisniveau Spaans te kunnen spreken. De mogelijkheden zijn onder andere op het gebied van educatie, begeleiding, kinderopvang of marketing.
