Opleiding voor jongeren in Mpongwe

GKMT (Geef de Kinderen van Mpongwe een Toekomst) streeft ernaar om de kinderen van Mpongwe, Zambia, een zelfstandig bestaan te laten opbouwen.
Dit wil de organisatie mogelijk maken door een relevante en adequate (beroeps)opleiding mogelijk te maken voor kinderen en jongeren. Hiervoor worden bijvoorbeeld beurzen uitgereikt.
GKMT wil een bijdrage leveren aan armoedebestrijding, duurzame ontwikkeling en het creeeren van ontwikkelingskansen.
Dit moet tot stand gebracht worden door onderwijs voor alle leeftijden, kennisuitwisseling en het opzetten en ondersteunen van projecten voor vrouwen en kansarme jongeren.
Sinds 2001 ontvangen gemiddeld 80 kinderen basis- en middelbaar onderwijs, zijn er lerarenwoningen gebouwd, is er een internetcafé tot stand gebracht en zijn er verschillende sanitaire gelegenheden gerealiseerd.
