This American organization supports a project for fair-trade, organic coffee production in Nicaragua, runs various educational projects in Pittsburgh on sustainability and fair trade, and provides scholarships to Nicaraguan students.

The Fairtrade Coffee project offers opportunities for internships or volunteer work in Nicaragua or in marketing and outreach in the United States.
