Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center

Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center in Costa Rica is the largest wildlife rescue center in Central America, receiving more than 3000 wild animals a year. Animals include: jaguars, monkeys, capybaras, tapirs, many reptiles, a variety of rescued birds, Along with their wildlife sanctuary, Rescate also has the only hospital for wildlife in Costa Rica, a breeding program for endangered species, an education program and release sites for rehabilitated animals.

Visitors, volunteers, researchers and interns are welcome. There is a strict hands-off policy. Only veterinary staff will touch animals.
