Volunteering 'voedselbank' Utrecht

Each wednesday afternoon people who cant afford to buy groceries at the supermakket can pick up a package with some food, like meat, potatoes, bread and vegetables at a local church in Utrecht. Volunteers prepare the packages and distribute them along the 55 families in the neighbourhood. It is Nice to see them happy if the package contains a pizza of some Candy, something they cant afford. Especially when children come along and we have something special for them like a toy or Some clothes you see the happy faces of them and their father or mother. Its a great experience, to give something to the people in your neighbourhood. We are not always aware of the fact that some people in the neighbourhood really need this.
