Recipe: Zero waste (ish) lifestyle recipe for Beewax wrappers

How do you make Beewax? We make it ourselves, and in a way it is a Mottainai secret how to make it.

You can actually find a lot online.

Needs:

  • Beewax
  • Resin
  • Jojoba oil
  • Iron
  • Pattern scissor
  • Pan
  • Heater
  • Tong

Melt it, we experienced that heating it up in a pan is the easiest. We tried melting with an iron, but trust me melting in a pan is the easiest.

Iron your thin cloth, hankerchief thiness is the best. Cut it with pattern scissors, and develop your sizes and put it in the pan.

Make sure you let the wax drip in the pan, hang it in front of the fan, for 30 seconds.

And it is done. A recipe for your Zero-wastish lifestyle. You don't have to buy foil or wrap anymore. Just wash the Beewax with lukewarm water and soap and you can use it again.

For Mottainai, our brand, we use old clothes, so that is even better. It will be a life-style, we are happy to share.

Ready In: 30 min.
