Rewilding Europe works to scale up nature recovery across the continent by reintroducing keystone species and removing man-made barriers, allowing natural processes to thrive. Rewilding Europe demonstrates that a wilder Europe is not only possible but essential for a climate-resilient, healthy, and prosperous society. Keystone species are generally large carnivores, like wolves, bears, lynx and vultures

Main focus areas: the Dauphiné Alps (France), Iberian Highlands (Spain), Rhodope Mountains (Bulgaria), Greater Côa Valley (Portugal), Southern Carpathian Mountains (Romania), Central Apennines (Italy), Nordic Taiga (Sweden), Velebit Mountains (Croatia)
