Why was Nyamukuta born?

In Zimbabwe the maternal mortality rates are very high, clinics are far and medical staff difficult to find. The health platform which runs on Whatsapp has been developed by Zimbabwean women. The program is designed to bridge critical maternal health gaps in regions facing shortages of healthcare professionals. The women in remote areas also get access to blood pressure monitors (working without electricity) to prevent complications during the pregnancy. The women with high blood pressure can go to the hospital in time before complications arise. Multiple health reports state that Nyamukuta on Whatsapp in combination with the blood pressure meters actually work in lowering mortality rates. I guess one day, I have to check it myself.
