Track and Trail Rivercamp is a unique safari lodge on the banks of the Luangwa River in Zambia. The lodge has been run for many years by Dutch adventurers Kirsten and Peter (a highly experienced guide and photographer). You can go on various types of safari trips here. Accommodatie

Track and Trail biedt een spectaculaire manier van overnachten.
Je slaapt midden in een safari gebied in een traditioneel houten hutje, waarbij je je midden in de prachtige natuur bevindt.
Vanuit je overnachtingplaats kun je zo de wilde dieren zien lopen!
Het is ook mogelijk om in een tentje te overnachten aan de oever van de rivier.
Voor elke nacht die geboekt wordt bij Track and Trail River Camp, steun je de lokale gemeenschap en natuurlijke omgeving van de Luangwa Valley in de vorm van een Conservation & Community heffing. Dit is al in de tarieven verwerkt en gaat naar conservatie-en gemeenschapsprojecten.
Track and Trail River Camp ondersteunt ook een 'pupil sponsorship' programma. Zo geeft het jaarlijks een donatie voor de scholing/opleiding van de betrokken leerling.

Tours & safari's

Naast accommodatie is het mogelijk om safari’s en andere tours te ondernemen. Opties zijn o.a. game drives, wandelsafari's, een cultural village tour.
De safari’s vinden grotendeels plaats in het Luangwa National park, maar er zijn ook opties voor tours naar andere delen van Zambia of Malawi.
De eigenaar van de accommodatie is een liefhebber van fotografie. Hij organiseert op-maat fotografie safari's, van beginners tot gevorderden. De opbrengst van verkochte foto's komen ten goede aan bedrijven in Luangwa Valley.

Workshops

Er worden periodiek meerdaagse fotografie workshops georganiseerd, waarbij je in een aantal dagen je fotografie techniek verbetert en kansen krijgt om Luangwa wildlife te fotograferen.

De lodge is met enige regelmaat op zoek naar iemand die een helpende hand kan bieden. Je kunt de website en social media in de gaten houden voor eventuele vacatures. Ervaring in toerisme / horeca en management is een pré. Reiservaring (in Afrika) wordt sterk aanbevolen.
Daarnaast is het mogelijk om bij te dragen aan promotie activiteiten voor de lodge.
