The Giggling Tree is a unique guesthouse near Yangshuo in China. It was built from traditional farmhouses by a Dutch couple. The Giggling Tree was acquired by Chinese entrepreneurs in 2017.

Op een dag stuitte Karst Draaisma in China op een groot complex van traditionele boerenhuizen. Na heel wat overleg, slopen, opbouwen, aanleggen van sanitair, stromend water en electriciteit is het vervallen complex nu een uniek guesthouse geworden, genaamd The Giggling Tree.

Gastenverblijf

Dit lokale Chinese guesthouse bevindt zich zo'n 5 kilometer buiten Yangshuo, midden op het Chinese platteland, in een vallei omgeven door rijstvelden en duizenden Karstbergen. Deze kalkstenen bergen zijn ontstaan door erosie en dat maakt de omgeving van The Giggling Tree zo bijzonder.
Er zijn in totaal 20 kamers en er is een restaurant met een uitgebreide kaart.
En je kan gebruik maken van het WiFi-netwerk.
Je kunt een filmpje kijken om meer te weten te komen over het Guesthouse.

Transport

Je kan bij The Giggling Tree fietsen huren. Daarnaast zijn er in het gastenverblijf allerlei routekaarten van de omgeving voor handen.
The Giggling Tree kan privétransport regelen van en naar het vliegveld of treinstation.

Activiteiten

Er zijn vanuit dit guesthouse ook verschillende activiteiten te boeken.

Chinese kookles in een buurtdorp, waarbij er gekookt wordt met producten die je eerst zelf op de markt gaat aanschaffen.
Lessen in Tai Chi, Kung Fu en Qi Gong.
Workshop in Kaligrafie, Mahjong of Chinese taalles.
