EduMais

EduMais is a non-governmental organization that provides after-school care and supplementary education to vulnerable children and teenagers in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. Founded in 2016 by a Dutch woman and now fully embraced by the local population. EduMais is constantly seeking volunteers to assist with teaching, fundraising and organization of their summer camps.

Een betere toekomst

  • EduMais verzorgt naschoolse activiteiten en lessen voor kinderen in Rio de Janeiro die onder risicovolle omstandigheden leven met weinig toekomstperspectief. De organisatie onderwijst en ontwikkelt zowel sociale als academische vaardigheden van kinderen, zoals Engels en programmeren. Op deze manier wil EduMais mogelijkheden creëren voor een veelbelovende toekomst van kinderen en tieners in de favelas.

  • EduMais is regelmatig op zoek naar stagiaires. Je kunt direct contact opnemen met de organisatie om te vragen naar de mogelijkheden.

Volunteering

  • Je kunt via EduMais vrijwilligerswerk doen bij verschillende programma's, waaronder Engelse les geven, computervaardigheden bijbrengen en ondersteunen bij sportieve activiteiten.
  • Vrijwilligerswerk bij EduMais is gratis, wel dien je kennis van het Portugees te hebben.
