- Sex consists of all the physical aspects of the biological gender and includes chromosomes and the physical anatomy.
- Gender is the way in which someone identifies him or herself and consists of the psychosocial aspects of the biological gender.
- Genderrole are the behaviours, interests, preferences and personality traits of a person. This is all you see from outside.
- Genderidentity is the subjective feeling that you have that you belong to one of the genders. You only get to know this from someone if you ask about it.
