Is immuniteit van toepassing op een VN-gezant, die interviews geeft naar aanleiding van zijn onderzoeken in het Maleisische rechtssysteem?
Rechtsoverweging
Wanneer een VN-gezant in de hoedanigheid van zijn taak als VN-gezant aan een interview deelneemt valt hij onder de immuniteit neergelegd in artikel VI, sectie 22 van het Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations.
Daarnaast moeten de nationale overheden de nationale rechtbanken ervan op de hoogte stellen wat de taak en de bevindingen van de VN/gezant is en dat hij immuniteit geniet.
