'What we contribute to the World'

Help & Inspire

  • De filosofie van Dutchess is om de lokale economie te stimuleren door de inzet van personeel uit de directe omgeving en het gebruik van zo veel mogelijk lokale ingrediënten.
  • Daarnaast is Dutchess continu bezig met het verkleinen van haar ecologische voetafdruk. Zo zijn meubels bijvoorbeeld gemaakt van lokaal snelgroeiend hout en wordt er gebruik gemaakt van zonneboilers.

Jobs

  • Hoewel er met name met lokale werknemers wordt gewerkt, zijn er af en toe vacatures voor mensen buiten Oeganda.

Hotel & restaurant

  • Dutchess bestaat uit een boetiekhotel en restaurant gelegen in een mooie en rustige omgeving net buiten het stadscentrum.
  • Er zijn verschillende kamers beschikbaar: van luxe kamer met eigen badkamer tot budget eenpersoonskamer.
  • In het restaurant wordt ontbijt, lunch en diner geserveerd voor onder andere zakelijke gasten, bewoners uit de buurt en toeristen. Er wordt gewerkt met verse lokale ingrediënten en zelfgemaakte zuivelproducten. Daarnaast is Dutchess het eerste restaurant in Fort Portal waar echte Italiaanse pizza, cappuccino's en zelfgemaakt ijs geserveerd worden.
