- North Korea is mainly known for its huge military parades, threats with nuclear weapons and the Korean War. We don't really know much more about the country, because there is no country more mysterious and closed than North Korea. Few tourists are allowed in each year, and the tourists who are allowed in have to go on an organized tour. But: then you really make a unique trip that few people will imitate.
