Volunteers for Peace is an American placement organization that offers various volunteer projects abroad. With over 30 destinations and all kinds of work, from eco-farming to social work and from teaching English to taking care of animals. 

Note: for Dutch volunteers the same projects are offered by SIW (Dutch)
