Is there a way you can stay

Is there a way you can stay in contact with them? Facebook or phone number or something? Seems really hard to spend so much time somewhere and then not knowing what happened to them afterwards.
Also, I'm taking a real liking to replying to you in English.

Hi Dennis

That's quite difficult because in the Orphanage I couldn't make any 'contact' with the daily staff. First of all they don't speak English, and with don't I really mean not one word, besides that they were not really taken with our help, so they acted really chilly towards the volunteers. The children don't have phones or internet, not really a surprise ;) so that's no option unfortunately.

I emailed my mentor in Vietnam about it, but he didn't responded yet! I could try the home organization in the Netherlands, but that wouldn't be the same.

Glad to hear you like replying in English, :) You are my best regular visitor ;)!!

Why does the staff act so

Why does the staff act so chilly towards volunteers...? :/ aren't they happy with your help?

Hi Coosje

No they aren't to happy about it at all! Vietnam is still has a communistic government although they claim to be a "sort of democracy" but they only have one party to vote for. It's a city orphanage and they actually don't want people to see what they do, we are "strange" and I actually think we are a threat for them.
