Tableau vivant (alive paintings) as about expressing a certain theme with a group as if it is a painting. First you can show pictures of paintings that are about sadness, happiness, war, fear, etc, to give them an idea about what you mean. Tell them they have make an alive painting about a subject. Start the music and they can start with expressing the theme. When the music stops they have to freeze and the activity leader makes a picture. They have to focus on expressing the theme, but also think about the composition of the picture. It has to look like a real picture. You can do this with several themes like emotions, but also situations like  a family meal, going to church, bullying, etc. Express things like power, cooperation, love between friends, how does that look like?
