Nice blog, Cecile! I think you are right in saying that we should care more about each other. The strange thing around this story is that social media has such a high impact on people. I think this is because people are more likely to help when there is a bigger background story known.
Maybe people should be learned to look more to people living next door who also need help instead of only look to campaigns for countries abroad or popular posts on facebook. Because for example this story is also going on here at a school in the Netherlands. This does not mean that we should not take care of people/projects in other poorer countries, but people do not realize that these stories are also going on in their neighboorhoods. What do you think?
