Wairarapa Eco Farm is een biologisch-dynamische boerderij in Nieuw-Zeeland. De boerderij wordt gerund door een Nederlands gezin en heeft een Demeter keurmerk (kwaliteitskeurmerk voor biodynamische landbouw en voeding).

Duuzame voedselproductie

  • Wairarapa heeft als doel het op duurzame wijze produceren van gezond en kwalitatief voedsel.
  • Er wordt op de boerderij veel aandacht besteed aan de bodem, en aan het bodemleven. Daarom wordt er bijvoorbeeld gebruik gemaakt van gieren, zeewiermengsels en compost.
  • Daarnaast zijn er kippen aanwezig op de boerderij, en kunnen omwonenden een kip adopteren.

  • Voor zover bekend bij JoHo zijn er (nog) geen mogelijkheden voor betaald werk bij Wairarapa Eco Farm.

Internships

  • Er zijn stagemogelijkheden bij Wairarapa Eco Farm. Zo wordt er een programma van 10 weken aangeboden waarbij je leert over duurzame voedselproductie en zelf ook meehelpt op de boerderij. Zie voor meer informatie en de sollicitatieprocedure de website van Wairarapa Eco Farm. 

Volunteering
