What do you need?

  • Music
  • Space
  • Pictures of some related dancemoves
  • Information about the dance

How does it work?
Create a dance by your own and, if you prefer, write the steps (choreography) down on paper so you won't forget them and show it to the children the steps. Repeat after a while (8 counts or something like that) so the children won't forget the steps.

What else do I need to know?
If you have had any dancing lessons you can teach one of those dance styles. Tel the children also something about the dance by telling some history. Like where did it start, when and how did it flourish.

What is the purpose of this activity?
It's not only doing the dance, but it is also paying attention where there's more help needed and trying to teach the children the best you can. For the children it's a nice activity in combination with learning about history of dancestyles.
