Esperanza Verde Peru

Esperanza Verde is a nature conservation project in the rainforest of Peru. Founded by Dutch nationals, the project focuses on protecting and rehabilitating wild animals, as well as preserving the surrounding rainforest.

The Esperanza Verde Wildlife Rescue Center takes in animals that have been traded illegally. These include a wide variety of species (such as monkeys and parrots) that have been sold illegally as pets or were destined for the food industry. Where possible, Esperanza Verde tries to reintroduce these animals to life in the jungle. Animals that cannot be returned to the wild are given a second chance in the project's protected rainforest area.

Volunteers are very welcome to help the team with taking care of the animals and the reserve. Immerse yourself in jungle life for at least six weeks, no Wi-Fi, limited electricity and plenty of hands-on jungle experiences
