In the Russian Footsteps of Nikolai Miklouho-Maclay

Tomorrow you can participate at Dr Elena Govor's lecture about Nikolai Miklouho-Maclay, a humanist from the 19th century who was also an ethnographer and natural scientist. He worked in Oceania and lived in Australia for twenty years. Dr Elena Govor will guide you along Nikolai's footsteps through the Maclay collections of the Maclay Museum. These include diairies kept by his wife, which show receptions with the royal family, friendships with Russian writers and the last year of Nikolai's life in St. Petersburg.
