ONE'S MAN TRASH, IS ANOTHER MAN'S TREASURE
I'm back from a few days in Eivissa and the first thing I wanted to do is inspire you world supporters with a great article I've read about before I took a plain to the island.
It is about Gregg Segal, an American Photographer who tried to capture the impact of trash on households by photographing them in their own trash. The trash the families are lying in are just from one week, which is quite shocking.
The project is called "7 days of Garbage" and tries to make people aware of the enormous amounts of trash they make in simply one week time. Some families were so ashamed of their trashbags they cheated a little bit, but in general the pictures are very realistic.
When I saw this, it made me even more aware of all the trash we make in our own house, although we divide our trash really carefully it is still a lot, but honestly I do not know how to make it less, since I think this problem lies for 75% with the producers of food products. If there is anyone with helpfull tips, please spill.
Cheers Cecile
