, India) www.kinderhulpbodhgaya.helpt.nl Consultant (full time) Coaching and technical advice on sustainability and general management. 2012 –2013 Malteser International (Illeret, Kenya) www.malteser-international.org WASH Programme Manager (full time) In rural Kenya, I was overall responsible for the Malteser Illeret programme which mainly focuses on sustainable water hygiene and sanitation using a Community Led Total Sanitation approach. 2009 – 2012 SHIPO (Njombe, Tanzania) www.shipo-tz.org Interim manager, management advisor (full time) As interim manager of the technical department I was responsible for proposal writing, budgeting, planning, monitoring, evaluating, improving, reporting and coaching. The department trained 722 rural technicians which implemented different WASH projects for example water gravity, latrines, hand pumps, boreholes and revolving funds. After handing over the department to the new local manager, I was asked to advise the management, design and implement a PMER system, establish and manage the training centre on low cost water solutions. My activities involved among others: - Promotion and fund raising (I initiated projects with new partners like Water Aid, Wold Vision, Winrock and SNV) - Prepare of proposals and contracts (for example with the new partners above) - Manage local team with the efficient implementation of different programmes - Design and improve training manuals, provide training and guidance on the job - Plan and prepare resources, materials and logistics - Monitor, mapping and improve standardisation and quality - Report writing 2007 - 2009 Metropolitan Education Office, VSO (Tamale, Ghana) www.ghana.gov.gh Management support (full time) Advice management, train staff, develop procedures.
