Happiness means to me to be able to laugh, even when you feel pain, just because you know there are more reasons to be happy and grateful about than to cry about.

When I'm sad, my strategy is to pretend I'm happy while thinking of the good things I have in life, which often automatically makes me happy. Also by often reflecting on the small things that are self-evident to me (clean drinking water, food, education, rights) but not for others, I learn to be grateful.
