The Suzanne Furstner Scholarship 2018

We hereby proudly announce our annual competition for the Suzanne Furstner Scholarship. The SFF will donate, in cooperation with the language school “TEFL-in Spain-Malaga”, a free TEFL course in Malaga, to the winner of our competition. The course will be held at the school from 30th July to 1st September. It will include a 1-week break from the 13th August – 17th August for ‘Malaga Feria’. This will make your time in Malaga extra special. The winner will be invited to keep a daily blog during his or her stay in Malaga.

If you already speak and write English to a high level, we welcome you to participate!

So, express and motivate your wish to be a TEFL- teacher in an essay of one and a half A4 pages – maximum 1500 words. Tell us what makes you want to go abroad to teach the English language to non-native speakers.

Send your entry by the 15 th May to and we will select the winning entry. TEFL in Spain will contact the winner to set up a skype interview to complete the required application documents for the course. Thereafter we will announce the winner in the first week of July.

All applicants that take part in the competition will be contacted by the school to be awarded with one 30-hour FREE Online TEFL Intro Course.

The foundation funds an annual scholarship enabling aspiring TEFL teachers from all the world to take a training course. The Suzanne Furstner Foundation supports language and educational training across the world. The Suzanne Furstner Scholarship was set up in 2006 in memory of Suzanne. To date, we have already sent winners to take CELTA and TESOL courses in centres all over the world: Seville, Playa del Carmen, Milan, San Francisco and Barcelona.

All scholarship applicants are assigned a task, involving both a language awareness exercise and a piece of creative writing based around the TEFL course destination.
