Liberian Corn Bread

Ingredients:

  • 225 g butter
  • 340 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 130 g flour
  • 255 g corn meal
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 360 ml milk
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • a dash of salt

Steps:

  1. Mix the butter and sugar, then add the eggs.
  2. Mix the dry goods (flour, corn meal, nutmeg, baking powder and salt).
  3. Add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternately with milk.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes at 180 °C.
