Hogeschool Gent Summerschool in Uganda

You are welcome to join the HoGent South Intensive Programme in Uganda, August 2017! This two-week course starts on Sunday morning 27 August 2017. Summer School, South Intensive Programme Improving the Quality of Life through the Quality of Care

  • Requirements: Having acquired at least 60% of the undergraduate/bachelor study programme in one of the following fields: Health, Nursing, Speech Therapy, Dietetics & Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Special Needs/Orthopedagogy
  • Number of participants: Maximum 15
  • Certificate: All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.


We are currently seeking academic recognition for this programme and its outcomes by the Academic Board of IASSIDD. Further academic recognition is determined by one’s higher education institution. Registration Applications can be submitted by filling in the online registration form before 1 June. After having registered, you will receive an email to confirm your application. In case your application is accepted, you will receive an email with more practical information on payment and visa. Note that your subscription is only valid when the participation fee is received by HoGent within 10 days after approval to secure your spot Application deadline Deadline extended to 20/6/2017

Tuition fee includes

• All course activities in the Summer School programme & Course materials

• Lunch when on MMU campus (lesson days)

• Welcome and Farewell activities & party

• Full day outing is planned to Queen Elizabeth Nature Park

• Certificate of Attendance, Quality certificate by IASSIDD (pending approval) Tuition fee does not include

• Travel (back & forth) from Entebbe airport to Fort Portal, Uganda (est. at 20 euro)

• Accommodation, type B&B (est. at 200 euro)

• Local transport at Fort Portal (est. at 20 euro)

• Dinners and some lunches (est. at 100 euro)
